Nunakavallley.com was behaving badly for the last few days. Sorry about that. I think the website may have stepped in some chewing gum. We cleaned it up and it should be fine now, I promise.

This Old Man

The Song of the Month for January was This Old Man and we all had a

great time singing and playing along with all sorts

of instruments. Our recording includes a little bit from almost everybody here at Nunaka Valley. It has a great bass line played by Mrs. Circle’s 5th grade class, some awesome rhythm stick work by Ms. Emde’s 4/5 class, and wonderful sound effects performed by Ms. Donahue’s 1st grade class. The words are sung by the kids in Mrs. Richardson’s and Mrs. Crandall’s classes. We hope you enjoy it. Click the play button below to hear it, click HERE to see the lyrics, and click the slideshow to see pictures of the kids composing stick rhythms and recording it.

Our new Song of the Month is…………… ONE HORSE OPEN SLEIGH. At least that’s what James Pierpoint called it back in 1857. Nowadays people only sing the first verse / chorus and everybody calls it Jingle Bells. Click HERE to see the words to all four verses and check back soon to hear the version we’ll be recording next week.
