This month we have been having a great time singing and recording THE FUR RENDEZVOUS SONG. Now it’s time for the kids from Ms. Emde and Ms. Circle’s classes to go into the computer lab and mix the tracks together in Garageband! Below you see some of the rough cuts we have so far. There’s a guitar track, and two different takes of Mrs. Goetchius‘ class singing the 1st verse. One take is definitely better than the other. You’ll have to listen to them both to find out why. Click the play button to listen, then press the CONTROL key while you click the title and choose “Download Linked File As” to download the track.

Our new Song of the Month is…………… ONE HORSE OPEN SLEIGH. At least that’s what James Pierpoint called it back in 1857. Nowadays people only sing the first verse / chorus and everybody calls it Jingle Bells. Click HERE to see the words to all four verses and check back soon to hear the version we’ll be recording next week.

The Song of the Month for April was The Fox and the kids did a great job recording all the parts for it. I just finished mixing it together and I think this might be the best one we’ve done all year. Jada did the ukulele part and the singing is the result of the efforts of many of our fine young artists. The backup singing was done by Mrs. Goetchius’ class, with Mrs. Julain’s class doing harmony. And we recorded solos from six kids for the verses. Riley sang the 1st verse, Gussie sang the 2nd, Micheal sang the 3rd, Alina sang the 4th, Greg sang the 5th, and Serena sang the last verse. Click HERE for lyrics, and click the player below to listen to the finished product.
