Parents, I just wanted to let you know that I have sent home two newsletters last week.  Hopefully you have gotten them and if not ask your child, they still may be in their homework folder.  Also, a daily planner started going home last week too.  It has the daily homework assignments and up coming events in the calendar section.  If your child forgets to take home their daily planner I have the homework posted on my teacher page on the NunakaValley.com website.  To get to my page click HERE or find the link at the top of the page marked JULIAN. This should be helpful for when students accidentally forgot to take home their homework folder and daily planner.

Here’s some photo’s from our Back to School Picnic. It was a great and beautiful sunny day. We want to send a shout out to Mr. Russell for cooking 300 Hot Dogs for kiddos and their families.

Intramural soccer starts next Friday! It is a two day event (Fri, Aug 28 and Tue, Sept 1) from 3:30-4:30.

Intramural flag football will be held Wednesday, Sept 2 and Thursday, Sept 3 from 3:30-4:30.

Both activities will be open to students in grades 3-5.  Permission slips are on a stand just outside of the gym. These are both round robin events so all teams will play each other. Our main focus will be having fun, playing hard, and demonstrating good sportsmanship.

A few students also will be given the opportunity to join the Nunaka Valley 3 v 3 Soccer Team and the Flag Football Team. These teams will represent our school at the Gladys Wood Soccer and Flag Football Jamborees in mid-late September!

Hey everyone, it’s going to be another great year at Nunaka Valley! We’ll all be chowing down at our Back to School Picnic on Monday, August 17th  3 – 5 pm. So come on down and grab a hot dog.

This is a great time to meet your child’s teacher and say hi to old friends. Class lists will be posted at that time.
