Wednesday – Hats on for Being Drug Free/ Hat Day

Thursday – Stay in the Game! / Dress up in your Favorite Sports Uniform

Friday– Drugs Make your Hair Stand on End / Crazy Hair Day!

***The FIRST student to catch any staff member red ribbon-less will receive a prize (students must be wearing red ribbons to be eligible for prizes). ***

In our music room we have a Word Wall that kids in every class add to whenever they catch Mr. Schweizer saying a new music word. There are three rules to the game.

1. Only a new music word that Mr. Schweizer has said that day counts.

2. Each class can only add one word per day.

3. The contestant must raise a hand and be called on (Blurting out an answer eliminates you from that day’s game. Plus, someone else usually swoops in and steals your word).

There will be prizes again at the end of the year for the kids with the most words on the Word Wall. Last year the prize was a Guitar! Here are the kids in the lead at the moment:

Congratulations to the Blue Aces, our 2009 Castle Ball Tournament Champions! Also good job to the rest of the teams. They did their best and showed good sportsmanship! For those of you who have never heard of Castle Ball, it is a game where castles are built by putting 6 hula hoops together. Each team tries to protect their castles while attempting to knock down the other team’s castles. Here are some pictures from the tournament.

Here are some pictures of our cross country running team at the North Anchorage Area Cross Country Running Jamboree! We had a lot of fun and the weather was great! This year we had our best turn-out ever with almost 75 runners! Thanks to Mrs. Dearborn, Mrs. Nyholm, Ms. Thorson and everyone else who helped out this year! Also thanks to Mr. Wyatt for setting up the team canopy!
